Hepplewhite Dressing Table
#6900FN. Circa 1790. Probably New England. Mahogany and mahogany veneer with flaming birch and ebony inlay; pine secondary wood. This fine example of American Hepplewhite furniture was originally intended as a dressing table, but has done duty over the years as a desk (ink stains in drawers). Original inlay. Restored French polish. Beading replaced and locks removed long ago. Old hand-made replacement hardware. Old and new repairs. Height: 29", Width: 40", Depth: 20". $3,400.00.
