Four plates from "Description du Manege Moderne," a book by Le Baron D'Eisenberg giving a full description of horsemanship dedicated to England's King George II and to his son, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.. Consists of: XIII - Le Diligent, XVI - Le Gendarme, XL - L'Amy, and XLVIII - Le Dificile. The engraver was Bernard Picart (1673-1733), and the engravings themselves date from 1705. Beautifully hand-colored. Linen mats with gilded recessed edges, excellent new framing. Each 16¾" x 28" (framed) or 8½" x 12½" (sight). The set: $2,800.00.
