#7744FP. Circa 1840. France. Mahogany and mahogany veneer with mahogany and European oak secondary wood. Old but not original leather insert on top. Old brass replacement hardware. This unusual chest has nine small drawers over 1 long drawer. Small drawers originally had wooden dividers (now removed) which indicates this piece probably was used in a business of some kind. Excellent flame mahogany and leather top, bun feet. 33 1/2" tall x 45" wide x 21" deep. $6,500.00.
