Pair Louis XVI Style Chairs
#7692FP. Circa 1850. France. Chestnut with old paint (probably original). The paint was originally light; it is now gray. Very old copies of "Lyre back" chairs. Hand made and carved. The chairs are sturdy, however the paint is wearing off. We have waxed the chairs and they have a wonderful patina. When originally photographed, the upolstery did not match and both chairs were in need of reupolstery. We have had the stuffing replaced and the springs tightened and seats re-shaped (see photos with the yellow fabric) -- they are now ready for your fabric, or they could be used as-is.
