#6390FN. Circa 1770. England. Flaming birch with ebony line inlay and pine and birch secondary woods -- solid brass pulls and locks (original). This beautiful chest is a transitional piece, showing the evolution from Chippendale to Hepplewhite -- it has survived remarkably intact and the flaming birch is stunning.
