Louis XV Style Marquetry "Secretaire en Pente" Desk
7834FP. Circa 1870. France. Rosewood and fruitwood, both solid and veneer, with marquetry inlay and various secondary woods. Original hardware and ormolu mounts. This bombe desk is shaped with swell front, sides and top. The fall front with armorial inlay opens to a fitted interior with 4 drawers, additional cubbyholes, and a Russian leather writing surface.
