George III Hepplewhite Pembroke Table
7798FP. Circa 1780. England. Mahogany and mahogany veneer with satinwood and ebony inlay and English oak and pine secondary woods. This beautiful table is particularly noteworthy for its excellent shell inlays. The hardware is solid brass; the pulls (on one actual drawer and one false drawer) are not original, but the casters probably are. With the leaves raised the table has a wonderful oval top. Very good condition with excellent patina -- old and new repairs. The finish is restored French polish. Height: 28", Width: 21.5"(down) 40.75(up), Depth: 33.25".
